Accessorizing Your Water Pump

Having the right accessories in place goes a long way toward helping your water pump perform additional tasks that you may have in mind. The following are some accessories you might need or want to have in place with your pump.

Hose Kits

While your water pump will already utilize one pump to do its basic job, you may want to invest in a hose kit in order to have more than one hose in place. This can come in handy when needing to transfer water from one point to another. Hose kits are also essential for tasks that involve trash-pumping.

Discharge Hose

If a discharge hose is not included in your hose kit, you will need to pick one up in order to complete certain tasks. A discharge hose is designed to help draw water away from a blooded area and toward a different location. This type of hose is a must-have if you live in an area that is prone to flooding.

Strainer

An add-on strainer helps to prevent your water from becoming contaminated by sediment or from accidents that may occur from busted sewage lines or floods. The strainer will help you feel more confident that debris does not get into your water.

Wheel Kit

A wheel kit is used to move your water pump as necessary. Designed to work specifically with your pump, the kit easily attaches to your water pump so you can wheel the pump to wherever you need it to be.

NozzlesA nozzle attachment helps you maintain control over the flow of the water that is coming out of your pump. Many nozzles are also equipped with a pistol-style grip, allowing you o more easily hold the nozzle while aiming the water where you need it to be.
